Background

 

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) —a critical element of the historic Paris Agreement— is the world’s largest climate fund mandated to support low-emission, climate-resilient development pathways. As an operating entity of the financial mechanism of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), GCF contributes to the goal of keeping an average global temperature rise well below two degrees Celsius.

The Fund seeks to engage the CRM Center of Excellence Consultant to join its team at headquarters in Songdo, Republic of Korea, for a period of 12 months.

 

Role

 

The consultant will support the Principal Software Architect (Department of IT) in developing and maintaining multiple solutions on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform, including the GCF Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system and other business applications. The Fund is implementing a comprehensive Dynamics 365 ecosystem using a phased approach, with rollout and scaling to continue during the next year across the organization. The consultant will coordinate and support the deployment and maintenance of software and processes based on the Fund’s requirements across various business domains, including external relations and partnerships, institutional memory, relationship maps, project management, and associated metrics supporting the Fund’s operations. S/he is also responsible for contributing to data management, system integration, and the development of templates, guidelines, and other components of the Dynamics 365 solutions.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Under the overall guidance of the Principal Software Architect, the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Solutions consultant will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Develop, maintain, and evolve multiple solutions on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform based upon analysis of end-user requirements and needs across relevant internal divisions, offices, and units.
  • Design and implement data structures, workflows, and business logic for various Dynamics 365 applications including CRM, project management, and other business processes.
  • Model, transform, extract, and integrate data across Dynamics 365 solutions and other operational systems.
  • Develop custom entities, forms, views, dashboards, and reports within the Dynamics 365 environment.
  • Support the implementation and adoption of Dynamics 365 solutions and analytics processes to enhance efficiency and automation.
  • Configure and customize Dynamics 365 modules to meet specific business requirements and workflows.
  • Integrate Dynamics 365 solutions with other Microsoft ecosystem tools and third-party applications.
  • Assist end-users by conducting training on how to use the Dynamics 365 systems, data cleaning and migration, and developing guidelines for system use and applications.
  • Participate in development of internal documents, plans, and reports related to Dynamics 365 solutions.
  • Contribute to capacity building with research on best practices, uptake initiatives, and benchmarking for Dynamics 365 implementations.
  • Support the ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement of existing Dynamics 365 solutions.

 

Required Experience and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor or Master’s (preferred) level degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • At least seven to nine (7-9) years of relevant work experience in developing and implementing solutions on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 development including customization, configuration, and integration.
  • Proficiency in Dynamics 365 development tools and frameworks, including Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Experience with the broader Microsoft ecosystem and integrating Dynamics 365 with other solutions such as Azure, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365.
  • Knowledge of Dataverse (Common Data Service), model-driven apps, and canvas apps development.
  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages and technologies such as C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, and web services (REST/SOAP APIs).
  • Experience with data management, migration, and analytics in the context of Dynamics 365 solutions.
  • Deep understanding of the latest trends, strategies, and best practices for Dynamics 365 implementations, coupled with strong working knowledge and experience on the potentials and limitations of the platform.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English; knowledge of another UN language an advantage.
  • Good understanding and experience of operations of international organizations is an added advantage.
