Since approving our first project in Peru’s Amazon basin in November 2015, we have grown to a USD 19+ billion portfolio spanning over 330 projects across more than 130 developing countries This decade of progress has taught us what it takes to support countries in building climate resilience and driving sustainable development. GCF has now embarked on an ambitious transformation agenda to make climate finance more responsive to country needs, faster to access, and more impactful at scale.

Our ambition is to grow to become at least a USD 50 billion fund by 2030.
