GCF is seeking a top-tier individual with a demonstrable track record of harnessing experience, energy and networks to tackle complex global climate change challenges. You will be able to quickly scan and analyze complex, competing issues and lead significant sized teams to find solutions in evolving contexts, across multiple geographic locations.

The Fund seeks to recruit an International Recruiter to carry out the tasks, duties and responsibilities, deliver the set deliverables and provide support to the hiring unit as detailed below. The consultant will join GCF team on remotely based for the assignment of an initial 180 days over a 12-month period.

 

Role

Under the supervision of the Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Programs Specialist and overall guidance of the Global HR Centers of Expertise, the position will be responsible for providing support and participate in full lifecycle recruiting to attract and select the best and most diverse talent globally to support our current and future needs. The successful candidates should be passionate about GCF’s mission and values. They are strategic advisors who utilize their expertise to guide and support timely and effective talent searches. We are seeking a talented, passionate, recruiting professional.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

The International Recruiter will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Full lifecycle recruiting: Including gaining an understanding of recruiting needs, planning and organizing recruitment processes (tests, interviews, psychometric assessments);
  • Source highly qualified and diverse candidates for positions through networking using different sourcing channels
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition team to provide recommendations for attracting diverse applicants to support GCF’s diversity initiative
  • Take initiative to provide innovative solutions to challenges and ensure timeliness and efficiency throughout search
  • Screen candidates’ applications based on the minimum requirements established in the job description
  • Manage candidate communications and expectations to ensure a positive applicant experience
  • Contribute to the construction of talent pools for future positions at the organization
  • Participate and support other Talent Acquisition initiatives and ad hoc projects

 

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Master degree with 5 years’ experience or Bachelor’s degree, with 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in an international organization
  • Experience working in administrative, operational services, and/or relevant HR work is desirable
  • Work experience as a Recruiter is an advantage
  • Excellent analytical skills to produce key recruitment report and metrics
  • Ability to organize skills assessments (e.g. psychometric tests) is an added advantage
  • Familiarity with Oracle is an advantage
  • Ability to deal with large volumes of work under time pressure with a high level of accuracy in details;
  • Excellent planning, organizational & time management skills to organize her/his work, set priorities, meet critical deadlines, and follow up on assignments with minimum direction
  • Excellent team-work, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good experience in using MS office package e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel and experience in working with online collaborative tools e.g. SharePoint is highly desirable
  • Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of another United Nations language is an advantage
